Alább egy érdekes kísérlet és a végkifejlet egy lendületesen nekiálló óriáscég részéről (név és cím a szerkesztőségben), aki fejébe vette, hogy oltári mennyiségű angol nyelvű szövegét gépi fordítással teszi elérhetővé kicsi népünk számára.

Így indult (2009 decemberében):

• Make localized about 250.000 articles that would be otherwise never localized into Hungarian 
• Keep them in synch whenever the English version of an article gets updated
• Adress the biggest reason for dissatisfaction on the Hungarian market: lack of localized content 

IMPORTANT: When you will be rating the translation quality, please bear in mind that machine translation will be NEVER PERFECT. Our goal is to have it UNDERSTANDABLE so with some level of the customer’s effort he / she will be able to figure out what is the problem and its solution" 

Így indult hát a felbuzdulás. Aki benne volt a pilotban (meghívásos alapon), azok persze mondták, hogy ez így sajnos hiábavaló, mert a magyar nyelv ellen fog állni ennek a nemes kísérletnek, de nem hallgattak ránk, hisz pl. oroszul nyelven elég jól működik a dolog.

Érdekes megfigyelni a "keep them in synch whenever the Englis version changes" című lázálmot :)

Paradox helyzet: mi ismerjük a saját nyelvünket, ezért előrebocsátjuk, hogy kár a gőzért. De ők okosabbak, meg már 15 nyelven sikeresen fut a projekt, úgyhogy le vagyunk mi sz*va, okostojás, csináld a feladatot, majd meglátod a végén.
